Charlie Yamanaka is a classically-trained musician best known for his blues-inspired melodies and ability to tell relateable life-stories through the art of lyrics.

Born in Japan,  Charlie's lifelong dedication to his favourite instrument of the piano began when he moved to the U.S. at the age of four. He continued his musical training at university where he performed alongside the Nashville  Symphony Orchestra and had the opportunity to play to world-renowned pianist Byron Janis.

After higher-education, Charlie returned to his birth country for a short stint and re-discovered his love for blues and folk-music while performing at live venues in Japan.
 
Now having returned to his home town of Atlanta, he is using his experience as a songwriter to marry folk-like storytelling with various pianistic styles and modern hip-hop influenced beats in his self-published albums.
